Military adviser: Philippe Carrère has made a career in the French Navy as an officer (sailing on frigates for 10 years, then 15 years in the Navy Commando Corps). He has spent periods in the military reserves since 2012. Maritime advisor: Philippe Carrère holds a professional qualification from the Merchant Navy.
He also owns and skippers a 9m speedboat used for tourist shipping in Finistère and Morbihan. He is in charge of nautical safety for traditional sailing boat gatherings in Brest, Douarnenez and the Gulf of Morbihan.
